Pork and apples - the perfect combo

Pork and apple are a perfect combination – so here’s an easy recipe you can try at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 3 red or green apples, cored, unpeeled, cut into wedges
  • handful rosemary leaves or 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • drop of olive oil
  • salt and black pepper

Method

  • Preheat oven to 210°C.
  • Score fat around edge of chops at 2cm intervals.
  • Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper and some olive oil
  • Heat a large pan over high heat
  • Cook 2-3 minutes on each side and then set aside
  • Spread apple wedges onto large baking tray and sprinkle with rosemary and olive oil
  • Add pork chops on top of apples and cook for 10 minutes, until pork is cooked and apples are tender
  • Serve with salad and rice
